A classic Italian pasta dish with creamy egg and parmesan sauce

Ingredients:
8 oz. (225 g) spaghetti
2 large eggs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 oz. (115 g) pancetta or bacon, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Reserve
about 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
Whisk together the eggs and grated Parmesan cheese in a
bowl. Set aside.
In a skillet, cook diced pancetta or bacon until crisp. Add
minced garlic and cook briefly.
Remove the pan from the heat. Add the cooked spaghetti and
toss to combine.
Quickly pour the egg and cheese mixture over the pasta,
tossing vigorously to create a creamy sauce.
Add reserved pasta water if needed to achieve desired
consistency.
Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Serve immediately.
