Ingredients:

 

Pizza Dough:

 

1 pound (450 grams) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

Pizza Sauce:

 

1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce

Toppings:

 

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Various vegetables (bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, olives, etc.), chopped

1 small tomato, chopped

1 cup fresh spinach leaves

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Olive oil for brushing

Instructions:

 

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the pizza dough package, or about 450°F (230°C).

 

Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone, baking sheet, or pizza pan.

 

Add the sauce: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a border around the edges for the crust.

 

Layer cheese and veggies: Sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Arrange the chopped greens, tomatoes and fresh spinach on top of the cheese.

 

Season: Sprinkle dried oregano and red pepper flakes (if using) over the toppings for extra flavor.

 

Bake: Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

 

Finishing: When the pizza comes out of the oven, drizzle a little olive oil over the toppings for extra richness and shine.

 

Serve by slices: Let the pizza cool for a minute before cutting into wedges. Serve your homemade vegetable pizza hot.
